Food safety training kit for leafy green field workers
On November 2, 2010, the Arizona Leafy Greens consortium’s initiative to educate field workers in safe food handling practices was announced in the Western Farm Press. This initiative seeks to ensure the integrity of leafy greens grown and shipped from Arizona.
As a result of this initiative, a bilingual food safety training program has been developed. The program is administered by the Arizona Marketing Committee and closely monitored by USDA-licensed inspectors. For their press release visit: www.azlgma.gov

Food Safety Training Kit
The training kit is well done and will improve the training efforts for the field workers. The demonstration I attended was well received and those who will be using the kit were excited about having an additional training tool.
