Food safety training kit for leafy green field workers

On November 2, 2010, the Arizona Leafy Greens consortium’s initiative to educate field workers in safe food handling practices was announced in the Western Farm Press. This initiative seeks to ensure the integrity of leafy greens grown and shipped from Arizona.

As a result of this initiative, a bilingual food safety training program has been developed. The program is administered by the Arizona Marketing Committee and closely monitored by USDA-licensed inspectors. For their press release visit:
